“We are proud of the solid reputation and cultural offerings Miniøya has established since its inception in 2010. This is also confirmed by our audience, who, through audience surveys, express great satisfaction with the festival,” says Executive Director Solveig Riiser.

Figures from this year’s audience survey, conducted by Comte Bureau, show that as many as 93% of attendees have a positive or very positive view of the festival. 85% say they want to attend the festival again next year, and 82% say the overall experience is the most important reason for visiting Miniøya.

“We are deeply grateful that the Grieg Foundation has chosen to support Miniøya with funding for operations and production. The grant we received was absolutely crucial in enabling us to open the magical gates to Miniøya—Norway’s largest music and culture festival for children—for the twelfth time. The gift we received shows that the Grieg Foundation takes children seriously,” says Executive Director Solveig Riiser.

Miniøya’s vision is to have the courage to push boundaries in order to create experiences that surprise and engage people across all ages, interests, and generations. Since its inception in 2010, Miniøya has established itself as a pioneer in culture for children and young people, challenging the very concept of children’s culture.

“Our young audience is introduced to a wide range of musical and cultural experiences of a high artistic caliber within a safe, inspiring, and inclusive setting. We set the standard for the new culture of experiences; the child’s overall experience is our focus, and we give children the tools and experiences they need to find their own cultural path,” concludes Executive Director Solveig Riiser.
